Assaf Eltzur

Assaf Eltzur received his B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College in 2021, specializing in mechanical physiological systems. He completed his M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, where he developed magnetically actuated scaffolds to promote peripheral nerve regeneration. Assaf is currently a Ph.D. student in the Wolfson Department of Chemical Engineering at the Technion under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Haick. His research focuses on real-time monitoring of nanoparticle-based chemotherapy via cleavable VOC-functionalized liposomes and minimally invasive microneedle sensors. This work aims to enable personalized, closed-loop drug delivery tailored to tumor-specific enzymatic activity.
