Orr Zohar received his BSc degree (Summa cum laude) in chemical engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2019. He is currently studying towards a Master of Electrical Engineering degree, where he is focusing on signal/image processing & deep learning. His undergraduate research projects, conducted in the Electrical Engineering faculty with Prof. Alex Hayat, were focused on the development of advanced ultrafast photonic detectors based on superconducting materials. During the summer of 2018, he worked in Prof. de la Zerda’s lab, Stanford Medical school, where he developed image processing algorithms for medical OCT.
Orr joined the LNBD lab in October 2018, and his current research focus is the development of biodegradable, biocompatible sensors for in-vivo applications, such as implanted sensors for post-surgery infection monitoring.
