Dr. Silvia Birsan is the Coordinator of the FP7 project LCAOS, and she manages also several other EU-funded projects of Prof. Hossam Haick: FP7 project ERC (DIAG-CANCER), Marie Curie project (EXT), etc.
Liat Zuri received her B.Sc. degree in Biotechnology and Food Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 1998. Since 1998 -2010 she worked in the industry as MIS consultant. She made ERP implementations in many companies, as: Alvarion , Itamar-Medical, Helioss Semiconductors and others.Since 2010 she joined Prof. Haick group as an admininistrative manager.
Dr. Ulrike Tisch

Dr. Ulrike Tisch was born in Germany and studied physics at the Technical University (RWTH) Aachen. In 2004 she obtained her Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
Dr. Viki Kloper received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees (Cum Laude) in Chemistry from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, in 2003 and 2006, respectively. She received her Ph.D degree in Chemistry from the same institute in 2010.
Dr. Yoav Broza received his B.Sc. degree (Cum Laude) in Biotechnology and Food Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2003. He received his Ph.D degree (direct track) in Biotechnology and Food Engineering from the same institute in 2009. His current research focuses on the use of 'Electronic-nose' device for diagnosis of Cancer via breath samples.
Dr. Bin Wang received his B.E. degree in Polymer Materials and Engineering from the Zhengzhou University in 2004. He received his Ph.D Degree in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from the Nankai University in 2010. Currently, he serves as a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Prof. Hossam Haick and works on the production and characterization of nanosensors that are based on molecule-terminated nanoparticles for diagnosis of cancer.
Dr. Jeffrey Halpern received his B.S.E. degree in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2003. He then received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2010. From 2011-2012, Dr. Halpern was a National Institutes of Health Musculoskeletal T32 Post Doctoral Fellow. His current research, focusing on improvements to devices for diagnosis of Cancer via breath samples, is funded by Lady Davis Trust and the Fulbright Commission.
Gregory Shuster received his B.A. (Cum Laude) in Chemistry and B.Sc (Cum Laude) in Material Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2006. He recieved his M.Sc (Cum Laude) degree in Material Engineering from the Technion in 2008. Currently, he performs his Ph.D studies in the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) of the Technion under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Haick.
Orna obtained her B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology on 2008. Orna has joined Prof. Haick's group in 2007 during her final B.Sc. research project, entitled “Distinguishing between E.coli and V.colrea Bacteria using Electronic Nose Devices”. Currently, Orna is a graduate student in the Department of Chemical Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Haick.
Rawi Dirawi obtained his B.Sc. degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Chemistry and Planetary science from the Tel-Aviv University in 2008 and his M.Sc degree (Cum Laude) in Chemistry from the same university in 2010. Currently, he performs Ph.D studies in the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) of the Technion under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Haick. His current research focuses on the development and characterization of new generation of nanosensors-on-chip for the detection of volatile biomarkers.
Gady received his B.Sc. (Cum Laude) in Chemical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (2007). During his studies he worked in a student position at Tower Semiconductor Ltd. and upon graduation as a process engineer (2005-2008). Currently, he performs his M.Sc. studies in the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) of the Technion under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Haick.
Meggie received her B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2008. Meggie has first joined Prof. Haick's group in 2007 during her final research project, which aimed to diagnose chronic kidney failure via breath samples. Currently, Meggie is a graduate student in the Department of Chemical Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Haick.
Morad Nakhleh received his B.EMS. (Cum Laude) in Emergency Medicine from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev – Israel, in 2006. He received his M.Sc. degree in Medical Science from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2011. Currently, he performs his Ph.D studies in the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) of the Technion under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Haick.
Haitham received his B.Sc. in pharmacy from the hebrew university (Hadasa Ein Karem) in jerusalem in 2007.
He received his M.Sc. degree in pharmacology with excellence from Tel-Aviv university in 2009. currently, he performs his Ph.D studies in the department of chemical engineering under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Haick.
Nisreen obtained her B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2008 and Electrical Engineering in 2010. Nisreen has joined Prof. Haick's group in 2007 during her clinical-engineering project, entitled diagnosing chronic renal failure using the electronic nose device. Currently, Nisreen is continuing her MSc.studies in Department of Chemical Engineering at theTechnion.
Meital Segev received her B.A. (Cum Laude) in Chemistry and B.Sc (Cum Laude) in Material Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2010. During her studies she worked in a student position at Tower Semiconductor Ltd. After graduation she worked at Alfred Mann Institute in the Technion (AMIT) as a process development engineer. Currently, she performs her M.Sc studies in the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) of the Technion under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Haick.
Sagi received his B.Sc. in Materials Engineering and Physics in 2010 from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Sagi joined Prof. Haick's group in 2010 as a process engineer.
Alona Bayn received her B.Sc.in Biochemical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (2011). She joined the group of Prof. Haick on October 2011 as a graduate student. Her current research work focuses on the development of discotic liquid crystals based Field Effect Transistors.
Adar Magen received her B.Sc in biology from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2012. Adar joined Prof. Haicks group in October 2011 during her B.Sc. research project on Field Effect Transistors and their ability to detect VOC’s. Adar started her B.Sc in Chemical Engineering during her Biology studies and continued straight to her M.Sc in Chemical Engineering at Prof. Haicks lab on Development and Characterization of Chemical SOI/Poly Sensors Based on Field Effect Transistors of Si Nanowires.
Adar completed 2 years of undergraduate degree in Material engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
During her studies she worked in a student position at Tower Semiconductor Ltd – R & D section in the MEMS group.
Currently, Adar is doing her M.Sc reaserch in a cooperation with Tower Semiconductor Ltd and also working as R&D engineer in the etch department, MEMS group.
Nadav joined Prof. Haicks group in March 2011 and received his B.sc in Chemical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2012. His current research is focused on the development and characterization of unique field effect transistors based on Si-Nanowires modified with organic molecules for the detection of volatile organic compounds .
Rotem Ermanok received her B.Sc. in Bio-Chemical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2012. Rotem joined the group of Prof. Haick in July 2011 during her B.Sc. research project on Field Effect Transistors of Si Nanowires. Currently, Rotem is continuing her M.Sc studies in Department of Chemical Engineering at the Technion under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Haick.

Manal received her B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2012. During her final research project Manal has been working on project related to Parkinson’s disease at Prof. Haick's group. Currently Manal is enrolled in master's course at the Department of Chemical Engineering.
Nicole received her B.Sc. degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Ben Gurion University in 2012. She is continuing her M.Sc studies at the Technion in the Department of Chemical Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Haick.
Alaa received his B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2010. Alaa joined Prof. Haick's group in 2011 as a R&D Engineer.
Raneen Jeries obtained her B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology in 2011. Raneen joined Prof. Haick's group in February 2012 as a R&D Engineer.
Sapir Zingboim is entering her 4th year as a Chemical Engineering student.
As part of the final project she deals with research on nano-particles in the electronic nose under Hossam Haick, this study deals with the field of lung cancer diagnosis.
Dean is currently entering his 4th year in Chemical Engineering at the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology. Dean transferred to the Technion after completing 2 years of undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo, Canada. As part of the final research project, Dean is researching head and neck cancer diagnosis via the electronic nose, under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Haick.
Sivan Gilad is entering her 4th year as a Chemical Engineering student at the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology. she is involved in a research that deals with temperature and humidity sensors based on nano-particles under the supervision of Prof. Hossam Haick. This research is a part of her final project.
